Create a focused Grok Bot and give it a small research job with a clear finish line. You will check its evidence, correct a missing result, and leave it with instructions you can reuse.

Before you start

  • The Grok Bot desktop app downloaded from x.ai/bot for your operating system.
  • An eligible paid Cursor account, or an eligible individual SuperGrok subscription linked to your Cursor account. Grok Bot uses cloud storage; check organization settings with your administrator if access is blocked.
  • Three public supplier pages you can open yourself, plus the exact facts you want compared. No supplier account or purchase is needed for this exercise.

Skills you’ll need: Define the teammate’s job, check connected access, and review its output against a small task you can judge.

How this helps your brand

Source-backed supplier research helps you compare delivery claims before depending on them. Keeping dispatch, delivery, and missing facts separate supports realistic commitments to your own customers.

  1. Step 1: Sign in and let setup finish

Open Grok Bot, choose Sign in, complete the Cursor authentication in your browser, and return to the app. Link your SuperGrok subscription if that is how you get access.

Wait for the cloud computer to finish setting up. If browser sign-in succeeds but the app stays on its welcome screen, keep the app open, return to it manually, and try Sign in again with the intended account.

  2. Step 2: Create a Bot with one responsibility

From New in the sidebar, choose Create new Bot. Use Edit Profile or the Bot menu to name it Supplier Research and describe its job: compare public supplier information and return sources.

Put lasting boundaries in the description, such as asking before contacting a supplier. Put today’s particular links and questions in the conversation. A narrow role makes it easier to judge whether the Bot did the requested work.

    Three public pages

    • Delivery area
    • Stated delivery time
    • Source for each fact
    Three rows + missing information

Stable role and safety boundary live in the profile. URLs and questions belong in the conversation.

Keep stable responsibilities and boundaries in the profile. Give today’s URLs and requested fields in the conversation.
  3. Step 3: Hand over a task with a finish line

Paste the prompt below with your three URLs. Ask for delivery area, stated lead time, and a source for each fact. Set the output to three supplier rows followed by missing information.

For a first run, request only public-page research. Bots can use a persistent cloud computer and connectors, but signing in to a service is unnecessary for this task. Your personal Bots share that computer’s files and browser logins.

  4. Step 4: Check what it actually found

Open each returned source yourself. Find the wording that supports the delivery area and lead time. A price page mentioning shipping is not evidence for a specific delivery deadline.

Check that all three suppliers appear, and that unknown facts are marked as missing. Ask which pages could not be opened. Do not count a polished comparison as finished until the links support its contents.

Keep the terms separate“Dispatches in 1 day” does not prove “delivered in 1 day.”
A source page can support one field and leave another unknown. The example is illustrative; open the real pages yourself.
  5. Step 5: Recover from a blocked or incorrect result

If a page is blocked, give the Bot a short excerpt you copied from the public page, label it with the URL and the date you read it, and ask it to distinguish supplied text from pages it opened itself.

If the Bot appears stuck, inspect its conversation status and computer for a question or approval. Redirect it with “Skip that page, mark its fields unavailable, and finish the other two.” If you want work to end, send “Stop now”; closing the app alone does not stop cloud work.

Paste a short excerpt with its URL and read date.

    Label it as supplied text
    Bot is stuck

Skip that page and finish the other two.

    “Stop now” ends the work
    Dispatch called delivery

Correct the one claim, then rerun the comparison.

    Dispatch separate · delivery unknown

Closing the app alone does not stop cloud work. Review the corrected sources before reusing the result.

Label pasted text, skip inaccessible pages when needed, and correct dispatch separately from delivery before rerunning.
  6. Step 6: Keep the useful instructions

Correct one specific mistake and ask it to produce the comparison again. For example: “That page describes dispatch, not delivery. Keep dispatch separate and mark delivery time unknown.”

Once the output is accurate, tell the Bot to use the same comparison format for future supplier research. Keep the verified result and source dates for your own record; revisit the pages before relying on time-sensitive details.

You're done when

  • One named Bot has a specific role and a clear boundary around external actions.
  • All three suppliers are represented, with source links or an explicit unavailable label.
  • You checked the facts against the pages and reran any incorrect row.
  • The final result distinguishes delivery, dispatch, and missing information.

Compare these three suppliers using only their public pages: [URL 1], [URL 2], [URL 3].

For each, report delivery area, stated delivery time, and the page supporting each fact. Keep dispatch time separate from delivery time. If a fact is absent or a page cannot be opened, say so. Do not create accounts, submit forms, contact suppliers, or make purchases.

Return three clearly labeled supplier entries and a final list of information I still need to check. Stop once that comparison is ready for my review.

Paste into a named Bot’s conversation in the Grok Bot app. Replace the three URLs with public pages; this exercise needs no connector or account login to a supplier.
